The Spanish corporation Greenfuel is searching for a parcel near the city of Pleven to build a plant for the production biodiesel, bioethanol and warehouses. The company will ivest 70 mln euro in the project.

The news was released by the presservice of the governer of the region of Pleven Mr. Tsvetko Tsvetkov, cited by Bulgarian National Radio.

The company's management has confirmed its interest in investing in the region because of its proximity with the Somovit port on the river Danube, good infrastructure and high grain yieds.

The Spanis corporation is considering three possibilities for the location. The parcels are of approximately 200 decares near the cities of Guliantsi and Kneja.

In a letter to the region's governer the investor has stated that they are to have talks with the owners of the parcels soon.

According to data provided by economic experts in Pleven during the past year investments in the region have amounted to 320 mln leva of which 58 were made in the field of industrial construction, technological equipment and new facilities. The rest of the capital was used in the residential building projects in the region.
