Sport Depot is planning to invest 4 million leva (2.04 mln euros) by end of the year to open new stores in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas and Stara Zagora, the company told Profit.bg.

The company aims at reaching a 23-25% share on the market of sports goods, clothes and shoes. Another 6 million leva (3.06 mln euros) will be invested for that purpose.

According to the expansion plan, by the end of 2010, Sport Depot will have 40 stores in Bulgaria, 20 of which franchise.

Sport Depot is an international distributor to worldwide chains such as Metro Cash and Carry, Carefour, Baumax, Praktiker, Real. The company and its subsidiaries deliver sports goods to all Balkan countries – Serbia, Romania, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina etc.
