The 16th centralized public auction started on the BSE today. The stock of 110 companies, 9 of which public, is offered at the auction.

On the very first day of the auction the shares offered by 8 of the 9 public companies changed hands. Only the stock of Bulgarian Roze Sevtopolis remained unsold. The interesting thing is that the price per share for three of the companies was lower than the price at which the stock ended today's bourse session, and for the other five companies it was higher.

The 412,000 shares offered by Sopharma AD changed hands at 2.964 mln leva (1.515 mln euros) in total, or 7.195 leva per share. Monbat's 45,851 shares stake changed hands at 17.41 leva per share.

The shares of Asenova Krepost and Katex were sold at 39.015 leva and 25.535 leva per share, respectively. Bioeco's 5% stake was purchased for a total of 66,125 leva (33.809 euros).

A total of 3.559 mln leva (1.819 mln euros) was paid for 4.607% of the capital of Insurance and Reinsurance Company Armeetz, while an investor paid 344,000 leva (175,884 euros) for the 20,441 shares of KCM (Non-ferrous metal smelter).

The auction will continue through 23 August. The stock of 73 companies is left to be sold including majority stakes in Balkancar Erma, Tran and Balkancar ZFI, Breznik.
