First Weekly Gain for BSE Indexes in Five Weeks
All four indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted their first weekly gain after four consecutive weeks of declines.
The indexes ended the last session of the week higher: SOFIX (+0.31%, to 439.60 points), BG 40 (+0.67%, to 133.06 points), BG REIT (+0.34%, to 49.99 points) and BG TR30 (+0.72%, to 354.91 points).
BSE's overall turnover came to 1.34 mln leva on the day. A total of 68 issues were traded with 30 of the companies posting stock price gains.
Eurohold Bulgaria's stock appreciated by 3.09% to 1.0 leva per share. The stock had been trading below 1 lv per share since June 2010.
Eurohold will offer 62.5 mln new shares at a par and issue value of 1 leva apiece as part the capital increase of the company.
The weekly performance of the indexes is as follows: SOFIX (+1.69%), BG 40 (+1.32%), BG REIT (+0.32%) and BG TR30 (+1.38%).
BG 40 is the only gainer since the start of the month advancing by 0.74%. The decline of the other three indexes in March is as follows: SOFIX (-2.29%), BG REIT (-0.89%) and BG TR30 (-1.78%).
All four indexes are in positive territory in 2011: SOFIX (+21.32%), BG 40 (+16.01%), BG REIT (+15.32%) a d BG TR30 (+16.94%).
The year-on-year performance of the indexes is as follows: SOFIX (+5.16%), BG 40 (+14.91%), BG REIT (+17.51%) and BG TR30 (+10.51%).
