Galata Investment Company Raises BSE's Turnover

The stock of Galata Investment Company once again raised the turnover of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE). A total of 485 shares in the company (4.85% of the capital) were traded today. The stock edged 0.01% up to 9 002.005 leva. The shares were transferred in two trades.

The secondary traded in the stock of the investment company kicked off on December 23. So far we have witnesses a sporadic trade on the position in which Chimimport has its stake in the company from 60 to 17.24%. A total of 438,000 shares in Holding Nov Vek, which is also linked to Chimimport, traded on the over-the-counter market. The shares were transferred at a price of 31.50 leva apiece (a total of 13. 8 mln. lv). The traded volume accounts for 28% of the capital of the holding company, which coincides with the Chimimport's stake.

A total of 86,294 common shares in Chimimport changed hands on the day. The stock appreciated by 0.22% to 2.806 leva per share.

Industrial Holding Bulgaria advanced by 2.97% to 1.70 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 22,800 shares.

Infrastructure companies Holding Roads (+2.80%, to 2.57 leva) and Trace Group Hold (+2.13%, to 72.00 leva) also ended the day higher.

Other advancers on the day included Eurohold Bulgaria (+1.30%, to 1.40 leva) and Euroins (+1.97%, to 1.45 leva).

Stara Planina Hold also closed higher. The stock of the company appreciated by 0.91% to 2.20 leva per share.

Hydraulic Elements & Systems' strong performance continued on Wednesday. The stock of the company added 10.00% to its value closing at 6.259 leva per share. A total of 189 shares were traded.

Elhim Iskra closed 2.51% up at 1.999 leva per share after 1,215 shares traded.

A total of 415 shares in Devin traded hands on the day. The stock of the bottling company depreciated by 0.30% to 3.30 leva per share.

BSE'a all four indexes ended Wednesday's session higher: SOFIX (+0.73%, to 439.86 points), BG 40 (+0.63%, to 119.99 points), BG REIT (+1.20%, to 45.61 points) and BG TR30 (+0.85%, to 337.52 points).

BSE's overall turnover came to 5.56 mln leva. A total of 70 issues were traded on the day with half of the companies posting stock price gains.
