Insured persons with the four types of pension funds totalled 3,841,181 by June 30, 2010, an increase of 3.44 per cent year-on-year, the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) said.

The data has been culled from the financial reports submitted to the FSC by pensions insurers.

Men account for 51.23 of all insured persons with universal pension funds, for 85.44 per cent with mandatory occupational funds, for 58.76 per cent with voluntary funds and for 33.90 per cent with voluntary occupational funds.

The average age of insured persons with universal funds is 34.9, with mandatory occupational, 42.7, with voluntary schemes, 46.9 and with voluntary occupational, 41.3.

Supplementary pension funds accrued 3,447,145 leva in net assets by June 30, 2010, up 29.54 per cent from the first half of 2009.
