Romania's media market is expected to be worth some 350 million Euros by year's end, significantly down from 540 million Euros in 2008.

The figures come from estimates in the Media Fact Book 2009 study, drawn up by media agency Initiative and released today (Mon).

TV advertising revenue is expected to decrease by 33 per cent this year compared to last.

The print media's advertising revenue is also expected to decrease by more than 50 per cent and radio advertising by 30 per cent this year compared to last.

Last year, Initiative estimated the Romanian media market would be worth about 590 million Euros in 2008, up 22 per cent from 2007, when the media market was worth 486 million Euros, 32 per cent more than in 2006.
