Although BG40 and SOFIX rose 49,81 and 48,29 percent respectively during the past year, there were companies that lost over 50 percent of their value.

Some of these companies are low liquid and some of them are in a state of insolvency or liquidation.

The most losing company in 2006 was Vazrajdane 26 Holding, followed by Chan Krum, Yavor Petrich and Rodina-91 which reported a fall of over 90 percent.

16 companies lost 50 or over 50 percent of their market capitalization in 2006, of them the most liquid was Chimko AD with 3 469 transactions made.

A total of 5 467 transactions with 15.51 mln shares of the 20 emissions listed here were made during the year.
