On 8 October 2007 the broad index BG40 closed at the record 619.99 points, after hitting 640.6 at one point during the session.

Three months later it closes at 488.90 points, which is a 21.14% decline in the 62 trade sessions since then.

How did the stocks within BG40 do in the period? Profit.bg found out that just two out of 40 companies ended the period on positive territory.

These are Petrol and Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity REIT, which add 5.44% and 3.11%, respectively, for the period in question.

Holding Varna A suffered a slight loss of 0.60%, while shares of Sopharma dropped 2.27%.

9 of the companies fell more than 9%, and 17 lost between 10 and 20%.

The biggest decliners in the past three months are Bulgarian River Shipping Jsc, Eurohold Bulgaria, Orgachim, Industrial Holding Bulgaria, Balgarska Roza-Sevtopolis and Zaharni Zavodi.
