Hotels prices in Sofia range anywhere between 35 and 1,000 leva per night, a check-up conducted by Profit.bg shows.
Our check-up started with three-star hotels. The Gorna Banya Hotel, where the single room costs 35 leva and a double room can be rented for between 49 and 52 leva a night, is the cheapest in this category.
The prices at the Hemus hotel, where single rooms cost between 68 and 96 leva, are also relatively cheap.
You can also stay at Hotel Niky, where single rooms go for 35-40 euros and double rooms cost 40-45 euros a night. The prices at the Jasmin hotel start from 90 leva for a single room and move up to 100 leva and 120 leva for double and luxury double rooms, respectively.
The single room accommodation at the Brod hotel costs 45 euro, while the double room is priced at 55 euro. Prices at Hotel Lozenetz, declared 2007 Hotel of the Year, range between 69 euros for a standard room and 89 euros for a studio.
If you wish to enjoy the comfort, luxury and the good location of some of the four-star hotels, the price you will have to pay is considerably higher. The prices at Arena di Serdica, one of the newest boutique hotels, range between 150 and 210 euros for a Classic single room to 250 euros for an Executive double room.
You will be accommodated at the Greenville for between 100 and 200 euros a night, depending on the room, while at the Central Park Hotel prices range from 160 to 255 euros for a panoramic room, information on the website of the hotel shows.
Of course, there are considerably cheaper hotels, such as the Geneva hotel, where the single room costs 72 euros and the double room may be rented for between 102 and 120 euros.
The bulk of the five-star hotels in Sofia do not have a price list published on their websites, which in most cases may not be functioning. After all, you may not get a room in these hotels just for one night but you can get a discount for a weekend or a longer stay.
The prices in this category start from 150-300 euros for a single room, while the presidential suite at Hotel Anel may be rented “only for 1,000 euros” a night.
