More than 300 companies are listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, however, institutional investors tend to concentrate investments on a few big companies. As Profit.bg already wrote, the assets of the ten biggest collective schemes in Bulgaria top 500 mln leva (255.645 mln euros).

These funds primarily invest in the so-called blue chip companies, traded on Official Market, as well as in some of the bigger companies on the Unofficial Market.

According to data made available to Profit.bg, the ten biggest management funds in Bulgaria invest mostly in the stocks of Chimimport, Monbat and Orgachim. You can see the exact numbers in the table below (dated September 30).

A total of 63 mln leva (32.211 mln euros), or 11.8% of the assets of the top ten Bulgarian schemes were invested in those companies.

A total of 20 mln leva (10.225 mln euros) has been invested in Chimimport shares (4.3% of assets of the top 10 collective scheme); 22 mln leva (11.248 mln euros), or 4.1% in Monbat shares; and 18 mln leva (.203 mln euros), or 3.4% in Orgachim stock.

The funds which put the most in the three companies are Elana Balanced $ Fund and Elana Balanced Eurofund – 19.2% and 15.9%, respectively.
