In spite of the negative start, all four indexes on BSE closed higher.
After briefly hitting a 16-month low in the morning, SOFIX closed at 1199.44 points, which is 1.18% up from Friday.
BG40 added 1.3% to 343.13 points. BGREIT rose 1% to 96,82 points and BGTR30 climbed 1.59% to 7934.76 points.
BSE's total turnover stood at 8.53 mln leva (4.36 mln euros). 52 out of the 135 active issues today closed on positive territory. The value of block and other agreed transactions came to 4.02 mln leva (2.05 mln euros). The total capitalization of the local stock exchange now stands at 22.6 bln leva (11.27 mln euros).
The three most liquid issues today were Chimimport (221 transactions), Holding Roads (206 deals) and Eurohold Bulgaria (186) – all three closed on negative territory.
Holding roads was the biggest decliner today. The stock fell below 1,000 leva closing at 944.6 leva, or a loss of 9.48%. Chimimport dipped 3.58% to 8.08 leva, several transactions were made at 7.7 leva. Eurohold Bulgaria lost 0.6% of its market value after shares were traded at an average of 4.82 leva today.
The highest traded turnovers were on the following positions: Synergon Holding (118,149 shares), FIBank (65,480 shares) and Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria (55,673 shares).
Investors interest in Synergon Holding remained strong all day and the company's market value added 2.32%. The average price on the position reached 8.84 leva.
FIBank and Zarneni Hrani were among today's decliners. The bank's stock fell 3.32% to 7.27 leva and the Zarneni Hrani slipped 3.98% to 1.93 leva.
Monbat climbed 1% to 25.25 leva on news of the forthcoming capital increase and dividend distribution.
Today's list of gainers also included Sparky Eltos (+10.05% to an average of 12.48 leva), Petrol (+7.61% to 4.1 leva), Emka (+3.06% to 11.47 leva), Sopharma (+1.64% to 6.2 leva), Euroins (+1.57% to 9.69 leva), Kaolin (+1.48% to 13.02 leva), Stara Planina Hold (+1.19% to 5.97 leva) Industrial Holding Bulgaria (+1.11% to 7.3 leva) etc.
