The number of the foreign tourists , visited Bulgaria from the beggining of the year to the end of July, has a growth with 4.49%, announced from the State tourism agency.

Among them from the citizens of EU are 2.178 mln leva- with 30.26% more. The incomes from the international tourism for the first six months of the year come to 866.5 mln euro-15.86% more than the same period for 2006.

These are the prior datas on the appraisal of NSI for EU, Switzerland,Norway and Island, and the datas of the Border police for the countries out of EU. Bulgaria has been visited from 2.973 foreign citizans(without these who were cross the country tranzit)for the period January-Fabruary 2007.

These are tourists, according to the definitions of the World tourism organisation and the European commission for tourism in EU. Their number is with 4.49% more, in comparison with the same period for 2006.

The expenses of the bulgarian citizans for travelling abroad for the same period are 609 mln euro, which is with 15.63% more than the same period for 2006.

The relative part of the tourists of EU from the total volume is 73%, which confirm the tendency from the previous years, that EU remain the main tourist's market in Bulgaria.
