The company in the domain of energy and gas utilities Transelectrica Bucuresti, obtained last year a net profit of 277.26 million lei ( 82 million euros), 3.4 times more than in 2005, ACT Media news agency reports.

In 2005 Transelectrica posted a net profit of 82.38 million lei. The company business advanced last year by 43% up to 2.45 billion lei ( 725 million euros) as compared to 2005, when it was 1.7 billion lei, NewsIn informs. The operational profit was in 2006 of 255.44 million lei. The final net profit is inferior by 1.26 % as compared to the preliminary one of 280.76 million lei. These results were calculated on the basis of Romanian standards.

Transelectrica Bucuresti will distribute a netto divident of 1.47 lei/share out of the net profit of last year. The total valaue of dividends is of 107.74 million lei and represents almost 39% of the net profit of 2006. Transelectrica obtained last year a net profit of 277.26 million lei ( 82 million euros) 3.4 times more than in 2005, worth 82.38 million lei. According to international standards (IFRS) the net profit of the company reached the sum of 294.07 million lei (87 million euros) and the operational profit rose to 279.82 million lei (82.8 million euros).

The operational revenues were 2.5 billion lei and the operational expenditure reached the sum of 2.22 billion lei. The social capital of the company is approximately 732.97 million lei, divided in approximately 73.29 million shares, with a nomial value of 10 lei. The state owns 76.5% of the social capital of the company, the rest of 13.5% belonging to Fondul proprietatea. The shares of the Transelectrica company are traded at the first category of BVB under the sympbol TEL.

The Transelectrica shares closed the meeting of 24 April at a quotation of 48.10 lei which means a capitalisation of over 3.53 billion lei.
