Unemployment rate in Bulgaria stood at 7.42% in June. The number of jobless people is dropping in all regions of the country. The number of individuals registered as unemployed stood at 274,820 last month, which is by 14,933 people less than in May, and by 65,239 less year-on-year.

Unemployment is continuing to decrease, since many people find seasonal jobs at this time of the year. A total of 17,900 positions are currently available through the national labor desk. 15,900 of them are on the regular job market, and 2000 are created through unemployment programs.

The National Employment Agency's programs have given jobs to 77,499 people in June. Two new projects were also launched – Project Optimism, and a project providing training in the field of balneology for job seekers.

In June the Agency started a total of 236 training programs for unemployed people throughout the country and 46 for already employed persons wishing to improve their qualification. Courses were joined by 4507 job seekers in June.
