The indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted another strong decline today losing between 1.22 and 2.85%. SOFIX was the biggest decliner on the day closing 2.85% down at 379.28 points. The blue-chip index has now lost more than 50% of its 2009 gain.

The broader BG 40 shed 2.06% to 107.84 points on the day. BG REIT lost 1.22% to 38.78 poinst, while BG TR30 closed 2.20% down at 293.51 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to 2.6 mln leva. A total of 71 ossies were traded on the day with 11 companies posting stock price gains.

More than 818,000 shares in Industrial Holding Bulgaria traded hands on the day. The stock appreciated by 0.36% to 1.40 leva per share.

The traded volume on the position of Stara Planina Hold amounted to nearly 75,000 shares. The stock of the company depreciated by 1.15% to 2.50 leva per share.

Sopharma's stock price ended the day 2.05% down at 3.82 leva per share. A total of 133,168 shares in the company traded hands on the day. Doverie Uited Holding slipped by 1.67% to 2.95 leva per share. The traded volume on the position of Medica amounted to 55,173 shares on the day. The stock price of the company went down by 0.05% to 1.849 leva per share.

Momina Krepost shed 2.70% to 1.44 leva per share. A total of 1,498 shares in the company traded hands on the day.

Banking stocks lost between 0.92 and 5.60% on the day. The performance of the banks is as follows: Central Cooperative Bank (-0.92%, to 1.179 leva), Korporate Commercial Bank (-1.45%, to 61.10 leva), First Investment Bank (-3.72%, to 2.07 leva) and BACB (-5.60%, to 12.65 leva).

Sell-offs affected the infrastructure companies as well. Holding Roads shed 4.76%, to 1.70 leva while Trace Group Hold lost 7.32%, to 50.556 leva. Moststroy slipped by 0.07% to 2.65 leva per share.

Other decliners on the day included Eurohold Bulgaria (-1.92%, to 1.07 leva) and Euroins (-1.94%, to 1.518 leva).

EMKA's stock advanced by 4.32% to 3.38 leva per share.
