The general index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) went up 0.9 per cent Tuesday, to a new all-time high, with transactions also reaching a record level for this month, further to substantial transfers involving shares of financial investment companies (SIF), reported Nine o'Clock .

The general BET-C index closed at 5,913, i.e. 0.91 per cent higher than at the end of the previous day’s trading session.

Transactions involving SIF stock, amounting to RON 53.7 M, accounted for approx. 57 per cent of the market liquidity, which reached a maximum level since March 19 (RON 93.8 M).

SIF Oltenia and SIF Moldova ranked first in terms of liquidity, with operations of RON 19.81 M and RON 12.93 M respectively.

The SIF Oltenia stock quote rose by 3.43 per cent to RON 3.62 per share, while SIF Moldova closed at RON 3.2 per share, up 2.56 per cent.

The index which looks at the five SIFs, BET-FI, picked up 2.6 per cent, twice as much as the 1.34 per cent increase in the BET index of liquid companies.
