The Supreme Administrative Court of Bulgaria confirmed the 200,000 leva sanction imposed by the Commission For Protection of Competition on the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC) on anti-competitiveness charges.

The Commission imposed the sanction in September 2006 after a complaint filed by The Electronic Communications Union.

An investigation found that the retail and wholesale prices of BTC make it impossible for new operators to be competitive.

The court found out that BTC pressures prices of both local and long distance calls, in order to eliminate competitors.

The decision of the Supreme Administrative Court can not be appealed.
