Svilosa Jsc will be organizing a media tour in order to presenting the new installations in Svilocel EAD. The new equipment was introduced with the aim of boosting the company's production capacity, Svilosa's corporate management program states.

Svilocel EAD, a bleach craft pulp manufacturer, is 100% controlled by Svioza EAD.

In November 2007 Svilocel successfully completed a large investment project worth 55 million euros, co-financed by the EBRD and the Nordic Investment Bank. In 2006 the company was awarded the company a First Class Investment Certificate for the project by the Ministry of Economy and Energetics.

Svilocel is planning to boost production capacity from 50,000 to 150,000 tonnes per year by 2010.

The company is also planning the introduction of modern technologies to upgrade the quality of production, which may lead to a 5% appreciation of its products.

Svolosa Jsc is also planning to expand and modernize its port on the river Danube in order to be able to receive larger amounts of wood cargoes from Romania, Hungary, Serbia, and Ukraine.

The expansion of the port will also facilitate exports from Germany to Ukraine and Russia.

Svilosa Jsc posted 2007 profit in the amount of 3.981 million leva (2.035 million euros), against a loss of 839,000 leva in 2006.

Main shareholders are ARUS LTD and KBD, controlling 80% and 13% of the capital respectively.
