Three of BSE’s four indexes closed higher on May 10, compared to April 30. The SOFIX advanced by 2.06% on a weekly basis, to 1161.92 points. The BG TR30 index of best performers in total return gained 1.55% over the week ending at 791.62 points.
The broader BG40 index of the most traded stocks on BSE added 0.51% to 320.03 points this week. The BGREIT index of real estate investment trusts was the only decliner on a weekly basis. The index shed 0.74% to 94.98 points.
The active trade in the early session on May 10 subsequently lost momentum and the daily turnover remained relatively low at 3.63 mln leva. A total of 122 stocks were traded on the day. The number of advancers stood at 83. The value of the block deals and other registered trades stood at 810,000 leva.
A total of 15 stocks, accounting for 38% of the companies included in the calculation of the BG40, posted gains over the last four sessions.
Chimimport was BG40’s best performer this week. The stock of the Varna-based economic group appreciated by 12.75% on a weekly basis, to 9.46 leva per share. Industrial Capital Holding added 9.42% to its value ending the week at 8.36 leva per share.
Bulgarian River Shipping registered the third biggest advance over the week. The stock of the company added 5.26% to its value, closing at 5.2 leva per share on May 10.
Lead & Zinc Complex’s stock price rose by 4.3% to 41.46 leva per share, while Aroma closed 2.91% higher at an average of 3.89 leva per share.
Orgachim ended yesterday’s session on positive territory but the stock was unable to recover the recent losses. Orgachim lost 10.14% of its market value over the last four days, closing at an average of 327.42 leva per share on May 10.
