This week I didn't have to think long before choosing a place to suggest for the holidays, because from the moment I laid my eyes on the beautiful Kebela Villa I knew „That was it!“

The villa is situated on the coast of our beautiful (althought a bit too crowded lately) Black Sea and is just 600 m away from the beach. You will find the cosy Kebela Villa between the lakes Shabla and Durankulak, which are archaeological reserves and protected areas, on the bird migration route Via Pontiki.

The Villa is in the village of Krapec, situated just 100 km from Varna and 15 km from the Bulgarian-Romanian border. You can't miss it, you will certainly notice that house resembling the architecture of the famous Dobrudja Lodging House, described in the short stories of the prominent Bulgarian author Yovkov. It makes you remember your literature classes...

The Villa displays many antiques such as traditional Bulgarian clothes, antique furniture, and many other objects from life in the days of our great grandparents.

The place still preserves the spirit of the old times, of the years in which Yovkov's characters lived, loved and suffered.

This by no way means that modern amenites are absent. Guest can enjoy a sauna, swimming-pool, Internet access, home cinema, and a recreation room. The villa is not only included in the „Authentic Bulgaria“ list of hotels, but was also awarded a gold medal from the association.

We Bulgarians, like good hotels, but we also like good restaurants. And the Villa definitely has something to offer. The restaurant serves traditional meals from the region of Dobrudja which means there's plenty of fish. This is fresh fish caught in the area and delivered daily, mussels, homemade goat cheese, and some specials such as pilaf, stuffed peppers, homemade sweets, syrups, juices, and lots of fresh vegetables and fruits.

Of course, there are plenty of other things to do there. For example you can attend scuba-diving classses or go on a yacht trip to Balchik. If you are a more adventurous type of person, try arcaeological diving in Kavarna.

There are organized trips to Shabla and Durankulak by ornithologists, and many other things to do, which you have to see for yourselves.

The only thing left for me now is to tell you the rates. They are between 30 and 60 euros per person depending on the type of room you choose. The rest is up to you!
