Last year Overgas invested a total of 20 mln leva in the construction of gas distribution networks, the company said.

Overgas Inc intends to attract some 15 000 new consumers in 2007, most of which households. This year the company is planning to invest 27 mln euros in the development of the gas distribution network, which is to be extended with 163 km.

The company's pre-tax profit for 2006 stands at 24.043 mln leva (12 293 mln euros).

The distribution network of the company and its subsidiaries is more than 1584 km long and provides natural gas to more than 21,000 consumers today.

The general meeting of shareholders held yesterday adopted the annual financial report for 2006. Reports on the results of the company's activities over the first five months of 2007 were also adopted.
