BSE's Market Capitalization Hits 21.5 Bln Leva

The listing of the stock of First Investment Bank and Corporate Commercial Bank on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange last month boosted the bourse capitalization to more than 21.5 bln leva (10.992 bln euros), or nearly 44% of 2006 GDP.
The number of credit institutions among the twenty companies with biggest market capitalization is now five.
The high prices of the blue chips also contributed to the increase in market capitalization.
Bulgarian Communications Company continues to be number one in terms of market capitalization with 3.4 bln leva (1.738 bln euros), or 15.74% of the total bourse capitalization.
After several very strong trading sessions Chimimport ranked second with 1.79 bln leva (915.212 mln euros).
The stock of First Investment Bank was floated June 22, and the bank debuted straight on third place with 1.48 bln leva (756.7118 mln euros), or 6.86% of the total BSE capitalization.
During the past several weeks Erohold Bulgaria and HD Patishta also entered the chart on 18th and 20th position, respectively.
Sinergon Holding was very close to entering the chart. The company stayed out with just 3 mln leva difference to the number 20 spot.
The total market capitalization of the 20 companies stands at 15.44 bln leva (7.894 bln euros), or 71.65% of the total BSE capitalization. Here is the full list:
