Public companies hold 35% of the Bulgarian market of general insurance

Bulstrad Plc, DZI Plc and Euroins insurance company control a total of 34.97% of the bulgarian market of general insurance shows data, provided by Finance Supervision Commission.
During the following months, the stack of the companies, mentioned above, might climb slightly on the news that two other companies - Lev Inc and Armeec intend to list on the BSE. Moreover, the merger between Bulstrad and Balgarski Imoti will come to an end.
DZI, as an owner of the majority stack, declared yesterday it's intentions to make a tender offer to the rest off the shareholders and to delist the company from the public register afterwards.
Last year's leading companies were Lev Inc, Armeec, Balgarski Imoti and Euroins, while Generali Insurance, Alianz Bulgaria and DZI - General Insurance lost positions on the market.
The top 5 companies hold 62.88% of the bulgarian insurance market, compared to 66.95% for the first quarter of the year and 65.71% in H1 of 2007.
