Eight of the ten most liquid companies within the broad indicator BG40 are holdings, shows data by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and profit.bg.

Chimimport boasts the most transactions in the period 10-15 September, or a total of 611 deals, which generated a turnover of 4.793 mln leva (2.450 mln euros). Next is Stara Planian Hold with 451 transactions.

Monbat and Lead and Zinc Complex (#7) are the only companies in Top 10 which are not holdings. Synergon Holding and Doverie United Holding ranked fourth and fifth with 418 and 400 transactions, respectively.

There were more than 100 transactions with the stock of 24 companies (60%) within BG40. The least liquid were Central Cooperative Bank (57), Petrol (50) and Bulgarian-American Credit Bank (37).

Nine of the 40 companies reported a turnover of more than 1 mln leva. Chimimport tops this chart as well, followed by Orgachim and Euroins, which registered 3.516 mln leva (1.797 mln euros) and 1.887 mln leva (964,807 euros), respectively.

Chimimport also posts the biggest number of transferred shares, followed by Himko, BTC and Eurohold Bulgaria.

There were a total of 7,142 transactions with the stocks of the companies in BG40 last week, which generated a total of 29.616 bln leva (15.142 mln euros).
