The total value of assets managed by Alfa Index Top 20 increased by 57% in a month and reached 4.66 mln leva (2.382 mln euros) on September 19. The amount of assets has increased 10 times year-to-date.

Alfa Index Top 20 is the first index fund in Bulgaria. The fund's portfolio follows the model of the Dnevnik 20 index, which includes the 20 companies with the highest market capitalization and the highest liquidity on BSE .

The fluctuation of the price of its stakes follows the movement of the index and the fund's return is approximately equal to the average return on the market.

Alfa Index Top 20's return last month stood at 16.7%, and profitability year-to-date is at 68.9%, which makes it one of the leaders on the market.

One of the reasons for the rapid growth is the new service the company introduced for the first time in Bulgaria – on-line investing.

Alfa Assets Management's assets currently total some 6.6 mln leva (3.374 mln euros).

The other fund managed by Alfa Asset Management, Alfa Index Properties is the first mutual fund in the sector in Bulgaria. The collective scheme invests in stock of Bulgarian real estate investment trusts (REITs).
