Over 400 Visited Kozloduy N-Plant during Open Doors Day
During the Open Doors Day on Saturday, a total of 416 visited Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, the plant said.
The youngest visitor was a four-and-a-half-month old baby and the oldest was 85 year old.
The visitors followed routes including command and machine rooms of the 440 MW Units 2 and 3 and of the 1,000 MW Unit 5, which was operating at full capacity on Saturday. They were accompanied by experts from the company, who told them details regarding the technology of production and the purpose of the main facilities of the plant.
Documentaries about Kozloduy N-plant and nuclear power generation were shown at the Information Centre. Specialists in radio environmental monitoring presented possibilities for
mobile real-time measuring of the gamma background of air.
Visitors were also acquainted with the results from the radio environmental control over the impact of the n-plant on environment for the whole period of its operation, which show that there are no unfavourable changes from the plant operation, Kozloduy N-plant added.
