At the end of September the total number of deposits made by households, non-financial organizations, and non-profit organizations serving households (NPISHs), stood at 11.523 mln, which is 9.4% up y/y. In June 2007 the increase was 9.2%.

The amount of deposited funds grew 29.4% y/y to 28.910 bln leva (14.781 bln euros). Deposits made by households and NPISHs rises 10.1% y/y (to 11.090 mln), while those made by other non-profit organizations drop 5.9% (to 432,800).

The amount of funds deposited by households and NPISHs stands at 17.128 bln leva (8.757 bln euros), which is 26.5% up from a year ago. Deposits of more than 50 thousand leva are the most common and account for 58.6% of all. Non-financial enterprises have deposited a total of 11.781 bln leva (6.023 bln euros), which is 33.8% less than a year ago.

At the end of September 2007, the majority of deposits (45.5%) made by non-financial enterprises were related to the activity of “Trade, repairs and technical maintenance of vehicles and household goods.”

At the end of Q3 2007 the total number of given credits reaches 2.544 mln, and the amount of funds given stands at 32.139 bln leva (16.428 bln euros), which 57% up from a year ago. The number of credits given to households and NPISHs rose 20.9% y/y and that of non-financial enterprises by 27.3%.

The amount of credits given to households and NPISHs rose 48.3% y/y and 38.6% versus last quarter, to 12.239 bln leva. Non-financial enterprises' credits rose 62.8% y/y and 54.7% versus last quarter, to a total of 19.900 bln leva (10.174 bln euros).

At the end of Q3 2007 the greatest relative share of credits given to non-financial enterprises are on activities in the filed of “Trade, repairs and technical maintenance of vehicles, and household goods” - 48.6% and 37.5%, respectively.
