SOFIX and BG40 Hit New Lows
Sharp rises are followed by sharp lows. Two of the official BSE indexes proved that fact today. SOFIX and BG40 dropped, by respectively, 10.3% and 11.7% in just two weeks' time.
Both indexes declined today, which confirmed the negative trend on BSE. SOFIX dropped 1.48% to 1743.43 points, close to September 20. BG40 lost 0.09% to 544.51, after losing 3.06% yesterday. We saw the same thing last week – the indicator climbed on Wednesday and slid sharply at the end of the week.
The branch indicator BGREIT ended the day a little higher than its starting 100 points – 100.68 point, after shedding 1.70% today. BGTR30 dropped 1.22% to 1110.64.
BSE's turnover today was similar to yesterday's figures. Trade with corporate bonds was again very active. Total turnover stood at 18.398 mln leva (9.406 mln euros), of which 5.499 mln leva (2.811 mln euros) from transactions with bonds. 152 issues were active today, of which just 36 ended on positive territory.
6 issues advanced on the Official Market of equity. Odessos Ship Repair Yard was the best performer adding 4.16% to an average of 346.12 leva/share. The highest bid at the moment is at 333.01 leva and asks are at 353.5 leva.
Monbat climbed 1.19% to an average of 28.93 leva. 54,094 shares changed hands on the position today at prices between 28.5 and 29.4 leva. Bids are between 28.8 and 29 leva and asks between 29.4 leva and 29.9 leva.
Sparky Eltos also managed to eke some gains today on news that Julius Baer International Equity Fund has acquired more than 10% of the capital of the Lovech-based company. Shares rose 1.67% to an average of 16.42 leva. Bids are currently between 15.63 and 16.01 leva and asks at between 16.4 leva and 16.49 leva.
Albena Invest Holding continued advancing today, adding 1,86% to 21.32 leva.
The stock of all three holdings on the Official Market's Segment A dropped by more than 1% to levels near their late September standings – Synergon Holding (-1.59% to 15.5 leva), Industrial Holding Bulgaria (-1.61% to 12.23 leva), and Stara Planina Hold (-1.09% to 8.17 leva).
The biggest loser on that segment was Doverie United Holding, which dropped 3.73% to an average of 14.21 leva at a turnover of 22,201 shares between 14 and 14.5 leva.
Central Cooperative Bank lost 2.27% to 10.74 leva.
52,843 shares of Chimimport changed hands at an average of 14.82 leva, or 1.53% down from yesterday.
