Eurohold Bulgaria – Most Liquid In The "New“ BG40
The latest actualization of BG40 has been in power as of last Friday. Following a decision of the Board of Directors, the issues of The Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC) and Himko were taken off the index's calculatin, and replaced by CB First Investment Bank and Kaolin JSC.
After the amendment, Eurohold Bulgaria becomes the most liquid stock in BG40 with a total of 1,095 transactions for the period. Chimimport remains second with 817.
Lead and Zinc Complex ranks third with 532 deals, Industrial Holding Bulgaria and Monbat are next.
The two new components – FIB and Kaolin rank 6th and 9th, respectively, in terms of liquidity. In between them are Synergon Holding and Doverie United Holding. Orgachim is behind the new issues.
The least liquid stocks inr the period November 19 – 23 are Bulgarian-American Cerdit Bank and Decotex with 29 and 19 transactions, respectively.
In terms of turnover, Chimimport still leads the list with 5 mln leva (2.556 mln euros), followed by Synergon Holding and Eurohold Bulgaria. The weekly turnover of 10 companies (25%) topped 1 mln leva.
There were 7,537 transactions last week, worth a total of 31.57 mln leva (16.141 mln euros), versus 6,959 transactions and 49.612 mln leva (25.366 mln euros) in the preceding week.
