Nearly 71% of Bulgarians Prefer Buying Bulgarian-Made Products
71% of Bulgarians prefer buying Bulgarian products, a research conducted by Market Links found out. Marlet Links surveyed 7,676 Bulgarian citizens between August and September 2007.
The results were presented at a press conference marking the opening of the annual Made In Bulgaria Exhibition.
According to the survey, 38% of Bulgarians are specifically looking for Bulgarian products when shopping, 37% said they are more likely to buy a Bulgarian, rather than am imported item. 18% said they prefer to buy imported goods, 5% say they are not buying any Bulgarian-made goods, and 2% were uncertain on the issue.
51% of Bulgarian prefer buying items produced by established brand names, even if they cost more.
The aim of the Made in Bulgaria Union and the annual exhibition is to maintain and enhance this tendency, said Bojidar Bojinov, chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and one of the exhibition's founders.
