BSE's Market Capitalization Rose 89% in 2007

The market value of companies listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange rose 89.28% in 2007 and currently reaches 28.99 bln leva (14.822 bln euros), against 15.31 bln leva (7.822 bln euros) at the end of 2006.
The market capitalization/GDP ratio comes to 55.46%, according to the Bulgarian National Bank's GDP statistics.
BSE's total turnover in the 250 trade sessions this year amounted to 9.946 bln leva (5.085 bln euros), which is 194% up from a year ago.
We remind that in 2006 total annual turnover, after 249 trade sessions, stood at 3.384 bln leva (1.730 bln euros).
At the end of the year, SOFIX reaches 1767.88 points, or 44.42% up from last year. In 2007 BG40 surged 159.19% to 518.06.
