The Worst Seems Not Over Yet

Stocks declined again today, which is hardly any news. The market showed investors who were worried after the recent slides that the worst is not over yet. Three of the four official BSE indexes ended on negative territory. BGREIT added 0.16% but is still below its base 98.76 points.
SOFIX fell 4.36% to 1321.03. The only advancing blue chip today was Monbat. It is interesting to note than SOFIX climbed just once this year – on January 17.
BG40 lost 1.82% to 392.09. BGTR30 dropped 2.66% to 864.70 points.
BSE's total turnover stood at 13.846 mln leva (7.079 mln euros), compared with 19.846 mln leva yesterday (10.147 mln euros). 42 out of 135 active issue advanced. The value of block and other reported OTC transactions came to 3.294 mln leva (1.684 mln euros). Deals with corporate bonds amounted to 1,039,933 leva.
Investors were not buying blue chips as they did yesterday, when we saw a temporary hike in their prices. As we already said Monbat was the only blue chip to end on positive territory, adding 0.1% to an average of 29.33 leva at a turnover of 21,429 shares.
Petrol's advancing series ceased today. The fuel distributor slumped 11.64% to 4.86 leva.
Central Cooperative Bank also suffered a serious loss, the stock dropped 9.12% to 7.07 leva at a turnover of 39,981 shares.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria closed at 7.89 leva, which is 7.83% below the opening price. 32,136 shares changed hands at prices between 7.76 and 8.89 leva. The Financial Supervision Commission registered the holding's capital increase yesterday. A registration on BSE and the start of secondary trade with the new shares is expected to happen soon.
Sopharma fell below 7 leva/share. The stock lost 3.72% today. Bulgarian-American Credit Bank declined 9.34% to 58.03 leva at a turnover of 15,001 shares.
M+S Hydraulic sank 16.1% to close at 9.64 leva.
Trade with shares of Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity REIT was more active today – 148,251 shares changed hands at an average of 2.27 leva, which is 1.3% down from yesterday.
Etropal posted non-consolidated 2007 profit in the amount of 1.244 mln leva yesterday. Despite that, shares fell 10.74% to 6.9 leva today.
The three newest companies on BSE also suffered losses. CBA Asset Management dropped 12.25% to 3.51 leva, Enemona lost 3.73% to 17.01 leva, several transactions were also made below 17 leva.
City Development REIT shed 0.07% to 13.3 leva after just five shares changed hands. There were no transactions on the position f Stock Plus today.
