ProCredit Bank boosted its credit portfolio to 882 mln leva (450.95 mln euros) in a year, which lead to a 60% hike in net earnings. According to preliminary data, the bank's 2007 net profit reached 14 mln leva (7.158 mln euros).

Deposits topped 585 mln leva (299.105 mln euros) in 2007, which is 38% up from 2006.

At the end of 2007 the number of client accounts stood at 206,000, of which 56,000 аrе savings accounts. 52% of those are of less than 2,000 leva in size.

The large number of small accounts reflects ProCredit Bank Bulgaria's strategy which is oriented towards encouragement of “responsible banking” among citizens, as part of the social and economic development of the population.

ProCredit Bank Bulgaria is part of a group comprising 23 banks, which successfully operate in countries in southeastern Europe, Africa, South and Latin America.

The bank started operation in Bulgaria on October 15, 2001 and since then, has been providing credit to small and medium enterprises, offering a full range of banking services. ProCredit is expanding its network in order to meet the rising demand for funding by business nationwide, and currently controls 72 branches.
