Elana Fund Management's Assets Top 107 Mln Leva End-Feb

The assets of Elana Fund Management amounted to 107.13 mln leva (54.77 mln euros) as at the end of February 2008, the company said.
The entire mutual fund market in Bulgaria registered a certain decrease in the value of assets and in return as a result of the volatility on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) since the beginning of the year.
The value of Elana Fund Management's assets has gone down by a mere 7.5% since the beginning of 2008, compared to an average of 23% for the other asset management companies.
Elana Fund Management raised its market share from 14.3% as at the end of January 2008 to 14.53% a month later as a result of accumulating financing in its mutual funds and retaining its clients.
All of Elana's mutual funds provided positive return for the month of February, which helped the balanced and high-yield schemes of the company reduce the declines triggered by BSE's slump in January.
Elana Eurofund provided 0.33% return for February, while Elana Balanced EUR Fund and Elana Balanced $ Fund generated 0.97% and 0.85% return, respectively. Elana High Yield Fund provided 1.23% return for the month.
Elena Fund Management's low-risk schemes have registered an increase in their assets since the beginning of 2008. Elana Money Market Fund's assets broke the 10 mln leva mark since its launch four months ago, while the assets of Elana Dollar Fund, launched on February 1, already exceed 900,000 leva.
