The decline of the indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) in the recent months has dampened investors' optimism. BSE's stock indexes have registered declines of over 25% so far ин 2008 after hitting all-time highs towards the end of 2007.
The indexes will pick up slowly after the consolidation ends, according to 57% of the respondents in Profit.bg's inquiry regarding the future trend of the capital market.
A total of 24% of the interviewed are very bullish, which can still be considered as a relatively high percentage. They are the second largest group of respondents.
A total of 10% of the respondents forecast that the indexes will plummet after the consolidation ends, while 9% believe that the indexes will decline slightly.
A total of 283 people cast their predictions in the inquiry posted on financial portal Profit.bg.
To a certain extent the predictions of the majority of the respondents have proven to be wrong so far as the indexes registered steep declines after the consolidation ended.
