The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted its third straight gain today. The index closed 2.21% up at 1,262.5 points. The broader BG40 index advanced by 2.88% to 363.25 points. The BGTR30 index of best performers in total return ended the day 2.19% higher at 831.16 points. The BGREIT was the only decliner among BSE's indexes today. The index skidded 1.09% lower to 95.49 points.

BSE's trading turnover remained relatively low today. The total value of the transactions sealed on the day amounted to 6.89 mln leva, while the number of trade stocks stood at 124. A total of 78 of the companies ended the day with gains. The value of the block deals and other registered trades on BSE totaled 5.49 mln leva on the day.

Four of SOFIX's constituents closed in negative territory. These are Industrial Holding Bulgaria (-0.52% to 7.64 leva per share), M+S Hydraulic (-2.53% to 9.63 leva per share), Monbat (-0.27% to 26.2 leva per share) and Lead & Zinc Complex (-1.1% to 57.57 leva per share).

A total of nine of BG40's stocks ended the day with losses, while the BGTR30 and BGREIT indexes had five decliners each.

A total of 85,761 shares traded hands in 182 deals on the position of Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria to make it the most liquid company today, Profit.bg data show. As a result, the stock appreciated by 18.78% on the day. The stock price of the company started picking up on Monday and has recovered 31% of its value so far this week.

Chimimport registered the second highest number of transactions today - 175. The stock appreciated by 2.48% to an average of 8.69 leva per share. Monbat ranked third after 27,545 shares in the company changed hands in 163 deals.

Advance Equity Holding was the leader in terms of trading volume with 513,962 shares traded. The stock of the company advanced by 2.78% to an average of 1.11 leva per share. Most of the shares were transferred in three transactions. Aktiv Properties REIT (195,582 shares) and Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT (151,697 shares) ranked second and third, respectively.

The awarding of the second class A investor certificate to Enemona influenced once again the performance of the company. Enemona's stock added 1.02% to its value closing at an average of 17.92 leva per share. Deals were also sealed at a price of 18.1 leva per share.

Four of the five listed banks ended today's session on positive territory. First Investment Bank advanced by 4.27% to an average of 7.82 leva per share. Central Cooperative Bank closed 2.63% higher at an average of 5.86 leva per share. Corporate Commercial Bank added 1.55% to its value closing at an average of 86.5 leva per share, while the stock price of the Bulgarian American Credit Bank went 0.07% to an average of 69.23 leva per share.

Things took a positive turn for Billboard today. The stock of the company appreciated by 3.01% to an average of 9.24 leva per share.
