Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday Turkey is ready to raise its trade volume with Bulgaria to 10 billion USD.

"During our meeting, (Bulgarian PM Sergei) Stanishev and I decided to increase our trade volume to 10 billion USD," Erdogan told participants of Turkish-Bulgarian Business Council in Bulgarian capital of Sofia.

Erdogan invited Turkish businessmen to invest more in Bulgaria, while Stanishev said Turkey is one of the most important trade partners of his country.

"We are ready to extend every support to enhance our economic relations," he told.

On the other hand, PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said they had to cancel a scheduled joint press conference with Stanishev because their meetings prolonged.

"We will make a press statement before the dinner," he told.
