Three of the four indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted losses in the first day of the week. The SOFIX blue-chip index slipped by 0.46% to 1,020.81 points, while the BG40 skidded 0.43% lower to 251.25 points. The BG TR30 index of best performers in total return declined by 0.51% to 660.77 points. The BG REIT index ended the session 0.13% higher at 87.68 points.

BSE's overall trading turnover amounted to 3.78 mln leva, while the value of the over-the-counter deals exceeded 166,000 leva. A total of 96 stock issues were traded today with 40 of them ending the day higher. The stock prices of other fifteen companies remained unchanged.

Synergon Holding reported today its consolidated financial results for the first half of the year. The stock depreciated by 3.8% on the day. A total of 4,511 shares in the company changed hands at an average price of 6.49 leva per share. The holding company booked 248,000 leva profit for the first half of the year, compared to 2.25 mln leva a year earlier.

The other three holding companies listed on BSE's most prestigious segment also posted losses. Industrial Holding Bulgaria shed 1.17% on the day. A total of 1,832 shares in the company changed hands during the session at an average price of 5.94 leva per share.

Stara Planina Hold's stock depreciated by 2.21% after a total of 907 shares sold. The average price of the stock came to 4.24 leva apiece. Stara Planina Hold's consolidated net profit for the first six months of the year amounted to 5.179 mln leva in the first half of the year, compared to 4.449 mln leva a year earlier.

Chimimport lost 2.84% on the day. A total of 29,012 shares in the company changed hands at an average price of 8.2 leva per share.

Lead & Zinc Complex also ended the day in negative territory. The stock of the company depreciated by 1.68% after 3,300 shares traded. The average price of the stock stood at 28.32 leva per share.

Doverie United Holding is upward move continued today. The stock of the holding company appreciated by 1.33% to an average of 6.85 leva per share. Doverie United Holding posted 3.93 mln leva profit for the first half of 2008, up 71% year on year.

Starter battery maker Monbat also ended the day on positive turf. The stock appreciated by 0.87%, while its average price settled at 11.51 leva per share.

Polimeri and Alcomet, which were traded in high volumes today, ended the session with losses. A total of 23,606 shares in Polimeri changed hands today, while the stock depreciated by 6.36%. The average price of the stocks settled at 3.28 leva per share.

A total of 28,093 shares were traded on the position of Alcomet. The average price of the stock stood at 5.51 leva per share. The last deal for the day was sealed at a price 3.46% lower compared to the opening price for the day.

A total of 239,520 shares in Sopharma Ligistics were transferred in a single transactions. The stock advanced by 3.85%.

FIBank's stock also ended the day higher (+1.55%, average price 5.9 leva per share), while KTB's stock depreciated by 0.33% (average price of 89.85 leva per share). BACB shed 2.47% today. The average price of the stock stood at 57.34 leva per share today.
