International news was not that important this week as it was last week. News agencies focused on the long debates held in Congress about the government's aid to the financial sector. Another bank announced bankruptcy, but this time it is a commercial bank.
It emerged today that Ireland is the second European country to slip into recession (after Denmark), and the first among those using the euro. Analyst warn that Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain may follow suit.
The changes in the structure of BSE's indexes became effective Tuesday. Corporate Commercial Bank and Monbat Jsc posted monthly financial results.
