SOFIX Slips 8.4% This Week

Bulgarian indexes were among the worst performers in the region once again today. SOFIX fell 3.8% to 751.67 points – the lowest in more than three years.
BSE's turnover is still low, at 4.74 mln leva (2.42 mln euros).
SOFIX lost 8.4% this week and the broad BG40 is down nearly 8% compared with last Friday. After this loss, the index's P/E fell under 10 (9.74). This is significantly lower than the average for indexes in emerging markets (around 13).
The top decliner in the region is the Russian main index, which fell 7.8%, followed by that of the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Romanian indexes kept their losses small. BET is just 0.3% down and BET-C fell 0.6%. The financial stocks index also closed in positive turf, at +0.5%.
First Investment Bank plunged 9.7% today at a turnover of 113,500 shares.
Sopharma dipped 4.9% at a turnover of 100,000 shares. Oarghcim was also among the declining blue chips – shares fell 7.1% to 119.06 leva.
Monbat's market capitalization shrunk by 6.5%, the stock of the Montana-based company slipped to 8.23 leva. Lead and Zinc Complex closed at -5.2%.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria shares plunged to 4.75 leva, which is nearly 9% down from opening.
Petrol suffered a serious loss of -29.9% at a turnover of just 420 shares.
Central Cooperative Bank was among the few gainers today. The bank added 7.33% today to 2.9 leva.
