The Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) will host tomorrow a meeting of representatives of the Bulgarian Association of Asset Management Companies (BAAMCС), the Bulgarian Association of Licensed Investment Intermediaries (BALII) and pension companies, several sources told Profit.bg.

The meeting was initiated by the two associations, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The main topic of the meeting will be the global financial crisis and how it affects the business of the investment intermediaries, mutual funds and pension companies.

The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) is the third biggest declining index in the world in the period January 1 - October 31, 2008. The index has lost 72% of its value in the period.

The SOFIX has lost over 30% of its value in November alone, which puts it on top of this ranking.
