A negative session on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) has come to an end. The SOFIX blue-chip index shed 3.86% to 436.80 points on the day, while the broader BG 40 lost 2.56% of its value to close at 123.41 points. Corporate Commercial Bank's (KTB) performance prevented a much bigger decline in SOFIX's value on the day.

A total of 533 shares in KTB traded hands on the day. The stock appreciated by 3.77%, to 55.00 leva per share. There were sell-offs on the positions of the other actively traded banks. Central Cooperative Bank shed 5.94%, to 1.51 leva, First Investment Bank lost 5.18%, to 2.89 leva, while Bulgarian-American Credit Bank closed 6.13% down at 13.33 leva per share.

Sparky Eltos was also among today's advancers. The stock of the company appreciated by 1.68%, to 2.42 leva per share.

Bulgarska-Roza Sevtopolis ended today's session 1.68% higher at 1.15 leva per share.

Some of today's decliners included Hlding Roads (-6.55%, to 3.61 leva), Moststroy (-4.38%, to 5.00 leva) and Trace Group Hold (-6.26%, to 70.30 leva).

The price of Chimimport's common and preferred stock leveled at the end of the session at 2.60 leva per share.

BSE's overall turnover came to 1.45 mln leva per share. A total of 75 issues were traded on the day with 19 of the companies posting price gains.
