Globul has been awarded “Company with most intensive advertising policy in the region” for 2006 by Bulgarian Association of Regional Media (BARM). The prize is bestowed on annual basis and its carriers are assigned after nominations made by 30 influential regional media, the company reported.

The BARM Annual prizes official award giving ceremony was held on 16 March in NDK premises under the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria patronage and was attended by the head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Bulgaria Michael Humphreys.

During the ceremony Globul presented the prizes in “Top journalist” category to 30 representatives of regional newspapers, who had been nominated by BARM members.

“The regional media are our preferable and powerful partner. As a national company we are operating through the country and to be informed on our customers real life, to be in a continuous dialogue with local communities are our core objectives”, Petya Stoyanova, Globul Corporate Marketing Director said during the ceremony.

Bulgarian Association of Regional Media is the Bulgarian print media biggest organisation which unifies 30 leading local media.

The company is 100% owned by Cosmote, the operator with the widest presence in SE Europe. As of the end of 2006, Globul has 3.27 million subscribers, while its services are available to 99.8% of Bulgaria's population, covering over 97.2% of the country's territory.
