The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) has been in and out of positive territory for the last eight sessions. The trend continued today after the index advanced by 0.09%, to 436.80 points. The broader BG40 closed 1.045 up at 119.46 points.

SOFIX and BG40 are up by 0.30% and 1.52% in February, respectively. SOFIX has gained 2.27% in the fist 32 sessions of the year, while BG40 has added 1.96%.

BSE's overall turnover exceeded 5 mln leva on the day. Trade in the stock of Galata Investment Company accounted for 2.2 mln leva of the figure. A total of 244 shares in the company traded hands at a price of 9,002.70 leva per share.

The financial stocks were also actively traded on the day. A total of 86,000 shares in Furst Investment Bank changed hands at prices ranging between 2.45 and 2.50 leva apiece. The traded volume on the position of Central Cooperative Bank came to 72,000 shares traded at prices between 1.30 and 1.31 leva per share.

Devin's stock appreciated to 3.50 leva per share, or the price of the tender offer.

More than 50,000 shares in Industrial Holding Bulgaria changed hands on the day. The stock of the company depreciated by 0.76% to 1.697 leva per share, while the stock price of Chimimport and Euroins remained unchanged after 19,000 and 29,000 shares traded I the two companies, respectively.

Infrastructure stocks Holding Roads and Trace Group Hold advanced by 0.40 and 2.64%, respectively to end the day at 2.52 and 73.90 leva per share.
