At the official ceremony for the floating of First Investment Bank stock on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange today, executive director Maya Georgieva told journalists FIB will become the fastest developing bank in Bulgaria.

Evgeni Lukanov, memeber of the Board of Directors thanked all present and future shareholders, as well as the media for the coverage of all events around the bank over the past several months.

According to Panteley Karasimeonov, International Relations, Communications and Marketing director, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange will benefit a lot from FIB's listing.

"The bourse market capitalization will exceed 20 bln leva (10 225 837 623 euros) for the first time. Meanwhile, the bank is already enjoying the advantages of the public company status and namely, the publicity that comes with it"- Karasimeonov also said.

The bourse executive director Bistra Ilkova and Viktor Papazov, shairman of the Board of Directors, did not attend the introduction ceremony. They are in Brussels, participating in another event - BSE becomes an official member of the Federation of European Stock Exchanges today

After 70 minutes of trade, 325 deals were made on the position, in which a total of 105 815 shares changed hands, generating 1.294 mln leva (661 611.6 euros). At the moment bids are at 12.08 leva and asks at 12.10 leva per share.
