A total of 9664 transactions were made on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange in the week 6-10 August, compared with 9890 deals last week, shows proft.bg data.

The weekly turnover stood at 148.232 mln leva (75.789 mln euros), of which 134.681 mln leva (68.861 mln euros) was generated on the official market.

The turnover for the preceding week hit the record 631.478 mln leva (322.869 mln euros), due to the transfer of 70% of the capital of the insurer DZI at a 508.97 mln leva (260.302 mln euros) price tag.

The highest turnover this week was generated on Thursday (9 August) – 70.653 mln leva (260.232 mln euros), and the lowest 13.831 mln leva (7.071 mln euros) was registered Tuesday (7 August).

The daily number of transactions varied from 1821 on Thursday to 2151 on Friday.

This week SOFIX dropped 1.6% to 1579.23 points, and BG40 climbed 1.28% to 398.12 points.
