Alfa Index Top 15 reported 24.6 % profitability for the fist three months of the year
The index fund Alpha Index Top 15, managed by Alpha Asset Management has achieved profitability of 24.0% for the fist three months of the year. The fund ranks second according to data from the Bulgarian Association of the Managing Companies for the period, it was surpassed just last week by Status New Shares due to their better performance on the markets of Southeastern Europe.
Alpha Index Top 15 is the only index fund in Bulgaria and is based on the Dnevnik20 index which lists the 20 leading public companies in Bulgaria ranked in terms of market capitalization and liquidity, the company announced.
The index fund follows a passive strategy – its portfolio follows the structure of Dnevnik20 with the aim to invest an equal amount of money in each share in the index. This passive strategy considerably diminishes transaction costs and more specifically transaction management costs which allows the company to maintain the lowest fees on the market – 0.25% of the net value of the assets in sale or redemption.
The other fund managed by Alpha Asset Management – Alpha Index Imoti which mainly invests in real estate RAIDS realized profitability of 2.14% during the past month.
Alpha Index Imoti follow a passive investment strategy – the fund invests only in the most liquid and most traded real estate REITs and the distribution of the shares of the different RAIDS in their portfolio is in direct ratio to their joint-stock capital.
