American Standard has invested more than $130 mln in Bulgaria for 15 years, the company announced quoted by BTA.

Bulgarian-US companies Ideal Standard-Bulgaria and Ideal Standard-Vidima in Sevlievo have established themselves as the biggest production and distribution center of the American Standard Corporation globally.

In November 2006 the 3mln product was dispatched from the distribution center of the Bulgarian-US plants, specialized in manufacture of sanitary ceramics, sanitary and consumer fixture and furniture facing.

Also in 2006, 10 years after the establishment of Ideal Standard-Bulgaria the 20-mln ceramic product was made there.

In 2007, 15 years after the contract for the creation of the joint venture between USA’s American Standard and Sevlievo-based Vidima was signed, the 46-mln product was made here and the plant’s production capacity was increased sixfold.

Days of the Open Doors were held in the Bulgarian-US plants in Sevlievo Friday and Saturday. For the first time ever four production units of the corporation, located in Sevlievo and Gradnitza, opened their doors simultaneously on the occasion of the 15th anniversary since American Standard’s entry in Bulgaria.
