Bulgarian River Shipping Q1 Profit Reaches 1.33 Million Leva
Bulgarian River Shipping AD-Ruse posted a 1.33 mln leva profit in the first quarter of 2007 versus 296 mln leva a year ago, the company’s financial report published on the website of BSE shows.
Revenues grew almost 39% to 9.69 mln leva from 6.92 mln leva in the first quarter of 2006.
Almost the whole increase in last year’s revenues was due to the growth of the services, offered by the company, which reached 9.59 mln leva compared to 6.86 mln leva the previous year.
Costs grew at a significantly slower rate of close to 15% to 8.29 mln leva against 7.2 mln leva in the first quarter of 2006.
Bulgarian River Shipping AD-Ruse has a core capital of 1.158 mln leva. The company will hold a general shareholders’ meeting on 21 May 2007, which is expected to vote a proposal to increase its capital from 1.158 mln leva to 28.959 mln leva.
An “Open Auction” for the sale of 291,980 shares of Bulgarian River Shipping AD-Ruse representing 25.2066% of the company’s capital will be held between 23 and 27 April on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange(BSE).
